As a business we are always searching for ways to make sure we can minimise the impact we have on our environment. As outlined in our Environmental Policy we recognise that sustainability is a journey and as such we continue to monitor our progress against targets we set annually and adjust policies and procedures as needed.

We carefully vet all our suppliers, working with those that hold the same values we do around providing sustainable, equitable solutions. We proudly and actively use the power of business to do more than seek profit. We use our profits and growth to positively impact all of our stakeholders — and the planet.

Natural rubber plays a huge part in the manufacturing process for our yoga mats. We strongly believe that Natural Rubber is the most sustainable and least harmful material to use in the manufacture of yoga mats. It's natural properties help us produce our signature range of luxury yoga mats giving our mats a natural non-slip surface that provides natural cushioning and stability.

However, harvesting natural rubber can have a significant impact on the environment and local communities if not sourced responsibly. There are particular dangers around mono-culture and the impact that can have on the environment and society.

We're very happy to announce that our supplier of natural rubber has achieved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. The FSC certification is a globally recognised certification that ensures responsible management of forests. It guarantees that the rubber trees are harvested in a way that does not harm the environment or the communities that depend on the forest. By obtaining FSC certification, we can assure our customers that the rubber used in our yoga mats is sourced responsibly and sustainably.

The certification process involved an assessment of the forest management practices, including the conservation of biodiversity, the protection of endangered species, and the management of water resources. Additionally, the certification process evaluated the social impacts of the forest management practices, including the rights of indigenous peoples and local communities.

Achieving FSC certification for the rubber trees we use in our yoga mats is an important step towards sustainability and responsible sourcing and a major milestone on our path towards greater sustainability.
