General FAQs

Being environmentally responsible is a core brand value for Luxya.

Luxya Yoga strives to cut down on environmental waste. Our yoga mats are made of 99% natural, biodegradable rubber and 1% polyester. We ship yoga mats in recycled packaging to help cut down on unnecessary waste. Additionally, we try to limit the number of packing materials by emailing receipts in place of including packing slips inside each package. We also actively offset our carbon footprint and are proud to be a be a QAS-Certified Carbon Neutral business.

Our environmental policy page has more details on our carbon neutral journey.

Our yoga mats are free from all nasties, including latex, silicone, toxic glue, phthalates, PVC or chlorine.

Yes! Unlike other micro-fibre suede yoga mats on the market our mats are non-slip even when dry. We apply a unique eco-grip coating that helps you keep a solid grip no matter the pose.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express credit and debit cards. You can also pay via PayPal. All prices on our site are stated in Australian dollars (AUD).

Luxury Yoga Mats

Both mats are the same height (173cm) and width (61cm), which is pretty standard in the yoga mat world, but the travel mat is thinner and weighs less.

Our Luxury yoga mat is (3mm) thick and weighs (2.2kg) and are popular for yogis to use in their local practice, giving more cushion and support under your feet. Our Travel yoga mats are (1.5mm) thick and weigh (1.5kg) and are popular for yogis who practice on the move as the mat can be conveniently folded up and carried around with ease.

Daily Cleaning: Following your practice, wipe down/spot clean the yoga mat with a damp cloth and soap or with yoga mat spray. Air dry before rolling or using.

Deep Cleaning: Machine wash on cold, delicate setting with no spin cycle. No bleach. Quickly remove from the washing machine after washing. Do not place in the dryer. Air dry.

*Please note that washing machine powers vary. Washing by hand is a safer option for your yoga mat.

It is recommended not fold the luxury yoga mat, as this causes damage to the mat. Roll the yoga mat with the design facing outward.

The travel mat can be folded but it is recommended that if you will be storing your mat for an extended period of time to store it rolled rather than folded.

Thickness mostly comes down to personal preference.

Our 3mm mats offer plenty of support and comfort while still being light weight and easy to carry. If f you are after something even more portable or want more of a connection through your mat then our 1.5mm travel yoga mats are perfect for you.

Read our blog on mat thickness for more information.

In addition to being eco-friendly we make sure all our products are also top quality.

Our microfiber mats function as both a mat and hot yoga towel so you don't need to carry a mat and a towel to class. The microfiber top absorbs sweat and makes the mats perfect for hot yoga as well as any type of yoga practice.

All our mats feature a non-slip surface and unlike many other mats do not need to be sprayed with water to increase grip.

Voluntary carbon offsets compensate for unavoidable carbon dioxide release. To do this, organisations support projects that positively impact the environment and reduce or avoid emissions that would have otherwise contributed to climate change. If the positive impact of this support negates the negative impact they have, ie: if the emissions avoided equal the original emissions of an activity, that activity is said to be "offset".

A carbon credit is what is bought and sold when dealing with voluntary carbon offsets. For every tonne of CO2 that a project manages to absorb or otherwise reduce, a carbon credit is issued. Carbon credits are certified by international standards and held in registries like the Gold Standard registry (international credits) or the Emissions Trading Register (New Zealand).

With our partnership with CarbonClick and ethical, fully traceable reforestation and renewable energy projects we can offer you the ability to voluntarily offset the last mile delivery emissions. You are free to add the carbon credit to our cart at checkout. This credit is then used by CarbonClick for certified, trusted and traceable offset projects. You will receive  a confirmation email from with a unique traceability link that you can use to get full details of your contribution including the projects it supported.
